Canada’s unmanned aviation leader is looking for pilots to add to our roster. The successful candidate will have intimate knowledge of Canadian air regulations and how manned aircraft operate in the Canadian airspace and will have experience remotely piloting aircraft.
Reporting to the operations manager, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of all missions in your region. You will work with customers to collect requirements, plan operations, coordinate your operations team, and execute missions.
Key Responsibilities
- Run aerial operations for your region
- Coordinate a UAV operations team
- Coordinate and manage flights and operations
- Transport, Operation, Maintenance of a UAV
- Perform UAV software updates
- Log all activities
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be a PPL with instrument rating. Helicopter licenses also accepted.
- Must have knowledge of basic camera systems for capturing aerial data.
- Must have experience working within Transport Canada’s manned or unmanned aviation regulations
- Minimum 2 year’s experience operating a UAV preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain a Passport
- Valid and current first aid
- Must have computer skills
- Must be willing to travel 95% of the time
Additional Essential Job Duties :
- Strong field of vision including visual depth perception and ability to distinguish between colors.
- Able to work in indoor and outdoor environments and in adverse and extreme weather conditions, i.e. in heat, wind, dust, pollen, weeds, grasses, and within confined spaces.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, rotating shifts, some weekend and after hours is required.
- Ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write in English
