Our filming platforms and capabilities

Aerobotika owns several filming platforms that have various capabilities to help you achieve the shot you have been dreaming about. Our multirotor and fixed wing platforms can carry such game-changing cameras as the Red Epic Dragon to capture some of the best shots the world has every seen. Our aircraft range from small multirotors with stabilized GoPro Hero 3+ Black cameras up to our massively stable and capable 1.1 meter Octocopter that is capable of flying cinema cameras with large lenses. We also have fixed wing aircraft with stabilized camera mounts that can travel at speed of 160 KM/h.

The Stabilization

Aerobotika’s stabilization is a set of high-precision stabilized brushless direct drive 3-axis carbon fibre and G10 gimbals. These gimbals produce video so stable, that even footage captured at high speed with heavy turbulence and high winds does not require post-stabilization.

The Cameras

Through ownership and partnership, Aerobotika is able to fly and operate the following cameras:

Red Epic Dragon

RED-DRAGON-Carbon-FiberThe Red Epic Dragon is capable of capturing up to resolutions of 6K and at frame rates as high as 300 fps. The ultra-lightweight carbon fiber and magnesium used to construct this machined DRAGON brain and mount shave off over one full pound of total weight compared to a standard aluminum EPIC with a Titanium PL Mount, giving us flight time of up to 14 minutes with a smaller fixed focal-length lense.

Panasonic GH4

Known in the industry as the “Giant Killer”the Panasonic GH4 is a 4K camera that can record at frame rates up to 96FPS. This small mirrorless DSLR has all of the features and integration that the movie industry demands, making it an incredibly versitile lightweight capture platform.

GoPro Hero 3+ Black

GoPro-HERO3plus-BE-hiresSay what you want about the GoPro, but it is taking media by storm with it’s unprecidented toughness and quality. The Hero 3+ Black records up to 4K video and in lower resolution is capable of 240 fps! The GoPro is a camera to we turn to for many projects, right up to the biggest feature films that we work on.
