Agriculture

Aerobotika has solutions for agriculture for all situations.

Do you want to manage your crops by purchasing and flying your own agriculture UAV? We have hardware and training solutions built specifically for this purpose. We can get you setup with your solution and flying in a matter of weeks or even days. For a custom solution tailored to your needs, please contact us

Do you want to use a professional precision agriculture analyst and UAV pilot? We have that too. Our pilots are all versed in the technologies described below in the services section of this page. If you are interested in aerial crop analysis or any of the other services described below, please contact us

Services

Crop Analysis

Aerobotika is working with a technology called Normalized Difference Vegetation Index that was previously only available through he deployment of satellite based electro-optical sensor arrays and was a service typically only provided by NASA and other satellite operators (https://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Features/MeasuringVegetation/).

Aerobotika is bringing NDVI to businesses to help ensure that their crops provide the best yield possible. With our near-infrared cameras we are able to give an aerial overview of a vineyard or field to show the health of the vegetation on the ground. NDVI is a process that takes our near infrared images and converts them to a format that shows where vegetation is healthy and flourishing and stressed and at risk. With this information, a farmer can pinpoint troubled areas and look closer at the plans to mitigate the issues.

Here is an example of an NDVI image of a vineyard in California and its accompanying visible light image:

In the NDVI image above; the green areas of the vineyard are healthy, the light blue is raw dirt and rock, the dark blue is water, and most importantly the yellow areas are stressed vegetation that need better irrigation or that may be suffering from other stressors such as pests or disease.

We have perfected the capture, processing, and implementation of NDVI technology to help the agriculture industry make better and more informed decisions about their crops. To do this, we fly our unmanned aircraft over the target property and capture very high resolution photos of the area, along with NDVI imagery. We then stitch the images together to provide a large and extremely detailed overview of the area in both NDVI and standard visible light formats. The NDVI image will have a legend similar to the example above.

Mapping

Mapping is an invaluable tool in many industries, but to agriculture it is an extremely useful in.

  • Assessing flood or drought damage
  • Planning for irrigation and drainage
  • Planning plots

With our full 3D maps that we are able to create, we can give you a digital model to simulate water flow, plan where you are going to get the best results for different crops, and asses damage to plants from drought, flood, or pests.

Other Agriculture Uses

We have custom solutions for

  • Monitoring wildlife
  • Crop spraying
  • Spot-spray of chemicals and micronutrients.
