Attending Aerobotika’s ground school course in May 2015 was a fast track to getting my UAV in the air and flying with a standing SFOC. The value Aerobotika provided through their ground school was simply immense. Equipped with not only theory, and practical operational knowledge, I was able to communicate effectively with both Transport Canada and NavCanada to conduct my first SFOC operation in a relatively complex location next door to a busy aerodrome with TC inspector oversight. Aerobotika’s UAV Ground School proved invaluable, both in providing a solid training on the Canadian Airspace as well giving us a solid technical grounding for our UAV flights. In particular, the SFOC overview allowed us to gain approval of our first ever SFOC from Transport Canada with zero changes. Taking the UAV Ground School has allowed us to demonstrate a high level of professionalism that makes our interactions with Transport Canada much easier.
